No Additional Jail Time For Conshohocken Puppy Thief

Deanna Ann Posavec, 38, of Richland, spent only a week in jail after her arrest in April for stealing a puppy from Playful Pets in Conshohocken in March.

According to Phillyburbs.com, a Bucks County woman who admitted to stealing a puppy from a Conshohocken pet store in March will not be doing any additional jail time past the initial week she served after being arrested in April. A judge reportedly sentenced 38-year-old Deanna Ann Posavec, of Richland, to time-served to 23-months after the woman plead guilty to felony retail theft. Posavec must also serve a two-year probation sentence and complete a parenting class after her parole, according to Phillyburbs.com. Posavec admitted to the theft of a $900 Dachsund puppy named Pipsqueak from Playful Pets in Conshohocken on Thursday, March 29. Plymouth Police: Puppy Theft 'Still Under Investigation'

Police reportedly have identified the woman who took the puppy, but have not yet located Pipsqueak.

Plymouth Township Police are still investigating the theft of a $900 Dachsund puppy named Pipsqueak from Playful Pets in Conshohocken on Thursday, March 29. According to a detective involved in the case, police have identified two people of interest, but have not yet located the puppy. No arrests have been reported. Beth Ann Neuschwander, manager of Playful Pets, told Norristown Patch that authorities were giving the woman identified on the video an opportunity to turn herself in and are now focusing on recovering the puppy. "We just want to make sure the dog is alright," said Neuschwander. "That's all we care about." Plymouth Twp. Police Searching for Puppy Thief

An unidentified white female accompanied by a small child was caught on camera stealing a puppy from Playful Pets in Conshohocken.

The Plymouth Township Police Department is searching for a woman who was caught on video stealing a two-month old puppy from Playful Pets in Conshohocken on Wednesday. According to employees, a white, middle-aged blond female approximately 5'3" in height entered the store at 115 Ridge Pike near shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the company of another female and two small children. The women spent some time playing with the puppies while their children wandered the store. After checking to see if anyone is watching, the woman can be seen on tape lifting "Pipsqueak," a two-month old, 3-pound black and tan Dachsund out of his bin and placing him in her purse. It is an aisle I could always skip in the grocery store. Before I was a mommy, I used to skip that whole half of the store. Produce? Check. Deli? Check. Dry goods, canned vegetables, pasta? Check. But after that those other aisles all seemed pointless. Jars and jars of baby food, diapers, Gerber Graduates, wipes. Two babies later I found myself frequenting those rows.
