East Norriton's Retro Fitness is celebrating their second anniversary, with a celebration planned for tonight. Retro Fitness, an 18,000 sq. ft. facility located on Germantown Pike in East Norriton has approximately 4,000 members and offers cardio equipment with 17-inch flat screen televisions, personal training; a classroom that offers yoga, Pilates, kickboxing and other classes, free weights, and more. Megan Sweitzer, owner of Retro Fitness, said the location also includes a movie theater with cardio equipment instead of seating. Retro Fitness has many features of a conventional gym – it's well lit, bright and friendly, it even has a smoothie bar and a pro-shop that will soon be selling Under Armor apparel – but it's also a bit different from your average fitness center. For one thing, it's got cardio room that doubles as a full-scale theater where predominantly '80s movies are shown throughout the day.
