Former Methacton Teacher Admits to Inappropriate Relationship With Student

Former Methacton High School teacher Sean McCullough pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a sexual relationship he had with a former student.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, former Methacton High School teacher Sean Michael McCullough recently pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court to charges against him in relation to what authorities said was an inappropriate sexual relationship with a former student at the school. The 43-year-old McCullough reportedly admitted to engaging in the illicit behavior with the former student, a girl who was 17 at the time, between September 2009 and 2010. In previous reports, McCullough was alleged to have engaged in "sex chats," mutual masturbation, kissing and fondling with the girl and exchanging nude photos with her. Former Methacton Teacher Wants Charges Dismissed

Sean McCullough, accused of having an improper sexual relation with a student, is asking a judge to review the charges and possibly dismiss the case for insufficient evidence.

According to The Mercury, former Methacton High School teacher Sean Michael McCullough, has filed papers in Montgomery County Court for a judge to review charges of an inappropriate relationship with a former student. McCullough’s lawyer, Stephen Geday, reportedly claimed that the statements allegedly given to police by his client are not admissible due to coercion and undue influence.    McCullough is requesting that should insufficient evidence be presented, the charges should be dismissed. McCullough is facing several charges related to his alleged relationship with the then 17-year-old girl including corruption of a minor, solicitation of child pornography and criminal use of communication facility. McCullough Pleads Not Guilty to Improper Sexual Relationship With Student

The former Methacton High School teacher is charged with engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

According to The Times Herald, 43-year-old Sean Michael McCullough pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor and criminal use of a communication in connection with his alleged sexual relationship with a former student that began when the girl was 17. The former Methacton High School teacher reportedly admitted to authorities back in August that he and the girl engaged in a myriad of intimate activities including "sex chats through emails, text messages and Facebook messages, mutual masturbation, exchanging of nude photographs, kissing and fondling each other." Charges Held in Methacton Teacher-Student Cyber Sex Case

Sean McCullough is facing criminal charges stemming from a sexual relationship he allegedly had with a 17-year-old student over text and Facebook.

All charges were upheld against former Methacton High School teacher Sean McCullough in a preliminary hearing before District Judge Cathleen Kelly Rebar on Thursday, Aug. 29. McCullough, of the 100 block of Hunsicker Drive in Collegeville, faces several criminal charges including one count of Solicitation of Child Pornography, as was included by Montgomery County assistant district attorney Samantha Cauffman, captain of the District Attorney's Sex Crimes Unit, at the onset of the preliminary hearing. The Corruption of Minors charge was reduced to a first-degree misdemeanor due to the time-period during which the charge would have applied. UPDATE: Methacton Teacher Allegedly Admitted to Sexual Relationship with Underage Student

Forty three-year-old Sean Michael McCullough reportedly told authorities he engaged in sexual-related activity with a 17-year-old female student who graduated in 2010.

According to The Times Herald, Sean Michael McCullough, the 43-year-old Methacton High School teacher who was arrested earlier today, has admitted to having a sexual relationship with a student at the high school that began in 2009 when she was 17. McCullough was arraigned Thursday, Aug. 16 on charges of corruption of a minor, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.
