Action News was on the scene when police located the vehicle that was taken when the owner of Shuler's Jewelers was kidnapped and robbed last week.
According to 6ABC Action News, East Norriton Police have located the white 2012 Volkswagon Passat that was taken by gunmen who kidnapped and robbed the owner of Shuler's Jewelers in his Tredyffrin home and took him to his store in East Norriton last week. East Norriton residents Dea Antoniolo and Maher Loghmari told Action News tha the car had been parked near their Mill Street home for several days and only realized the significance after seeing a report on the news about the robbery and missing vehicle. Police announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the men responsible for the Jan. 31 robbery. The store's owner was robbed at his Chester County home, then taken to the jewelry store in East Norrtion, which was also robbed.
Tredyffrin Township Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the kidnapping and robbery of the owner of an East Norriton jewelry store last week. According to a release issued by police, the reward is being funded by the Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company and the Pennsylvania Jeweler's Association. Police say four armed men were lying in wait for the man as he arrived home around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31. Tredyffrin Detective Sgt. Tredyffrin authorities and Chester County detectives are investigating the home invasion robbery and kidnapping of an East Norriton business owner Thursday night.
UPDATE: [2/1/13; 11:25 a.m.] East Norriton Police are assisting Tredyffrin Police and Chester County Detectives in the investigation of the home invasion robbery and kidnapping of the owner of Shuler's Jewelers in East Norriton. According to East Norriton Police, their officers responded to the business location at 110B West Germantown Pike at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 for a report of a robbery in progress. According to a release issued by PennDOT, drivers heading west on U.S. Route 422 this weekend will find the westbound two lanes reduced to one between the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass and First Avenue Interchange in Tredyffrin. The lane closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Monday, May 2, for construction. Route 422’s westbound right lane will be restricted during the weekend while crews drill and pump grout beneath the highway. Drivers are advised to allow additional time to travel west on Route 422 or use an alternate route. This operation is part of PennDOT’s $2.7 million project to repair Route 422 and fill underground voids that could potentially develop into sinkholes. Construction began in February and will …
