Bridgeport Man Nabbed on Warrant in Whitpain

Ryan Sandor, 37, of the 400 block of Grove Street, was arrested after a traffic stop May 8 and taken into custody for failure to appear on loitering and prowling charges in Montgomery County court.

A Bridgeport man wanted on a Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear at a formal arraignment on a loitering and prowling charge was nabbed by Whitpain Township Police during a traffic stop, police said. Ryan Sandor, 37, of the 400 block of Grove Street, Bridgeport, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. May 8 after his vehicle was stopped for expired inspection, police said. Sandor was taken into custody without incident and later released to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, police said. Court records show Sandor was awaiting arraignment on a misdemeanor prowling charge and a summary trespassing charge from a January 2013 arrest in Lansdale Borough. Deli Drunkard from East Norriton Arrested at Whitpain Wawa, Police Say

Paul Hinderliter, 44, of East Norriton, was arrested April 30 for public drunkenness, police said. He allegedly tried to open the manager's office at Wawa.

A drunken 44-year-old East Norriton man was arrested last month after he tried to enter the manager's office at Wawa, Whitpain Township Police said. Paul Hinderliter, 44, of the 2600 block of DeKalb Pike, East Norriton, was arrested April 30 for allegedly being drunk inside the Wawa at 1015 DeKalb Pike in Whitpain. Police were called to Wawa shortly before midnight after Hinderliter tried to open the manager's office, police said. When police arrived, Hinderliter was standing near the deli, visibly drunk, police said. He was arrested, charged and later released, police said. Woman Collapses, Dies at Deck Motel on Friday

Cause of death is still under investigation.

According to Whitpain Police, officers responded to the Deck Motel on DeKalb Pike for a medical emergency call on Friday morning Sgt. Cathy Penecale told Patch that witnesses saw a woman collapse at the motel, but the cause of death of the woman is currently under investigation. Patch will update this article as more information becomes available.

Employee Arrested for Robbing Blue Bell 7-Eleven

A Blue Bell woman was arrested for conspiring with Yardley woman to rob the 7-Eleven on Swede Rd.

According to Whitpain Township Police, on Friday, Sept. 28 at approximately 8:51 a.m., police officers responded to 7-Eleven, 1710 Swede Rd. for the report of an armed robbery in progress. The cashier, Catherine Edinger, told officers that a white male in his 20s, between 5'3" and 5'6", approximately 150 lbs., wearing a black hoodie, a black sweatshirt, white sneakers, a red baseball cap under the  hoodie and a scarf over his face had allegedly robbed the store. According to Whitpain Township Police reports, the cashier told officers that the suspect entered the store, went right to the register, had allegedly implied that he had a gun and demanded money. Whitpain Police, Giant to Partner for Drug Take-Back Day

Giant in Blue Bell will partner with Whitpain Police as a drop off location for expired and unwanted prescription and over the counter drugs.

From Giant Food Stores: Giant Food Stores are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Whitpain Township Police to participate in the national "drug take-back" initiative on Saturday, September 29. Expired and unwanted medications can be brought into participating Giant Food Stores from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. All medications will be disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner at no cost to the customer. Morning Crash Closed DeKalb Pike for Over Two Hours

Witnesses to the crash are asked to call the Whitpain Township Police.

From Whitpain Township Police Department: The Whitpain Township Police Department is investigating a crash that occurred in the intersection of DeKalb Pike and Cherry Lane on Friday, September 14 at 9:45 a.m. A silver Honda Accord operated by Phillip Gardocki, 76 years of age of Norristown, collided head-on with a brown Jeep Cherokee being operated by Brian Kiester, 23 years of age from Harleysville. DeKalb Pike was closed between Jolly Rd. and Skippack Pike for approximately 2 1/2 hours. Phillip Gardocki was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by PennStar. Whitpain Police Looking for Man Who Made Fraudulent Purchases

If anyone knows the identity of the man in these images, please contact Whitpain Township Police.

From Whitpain Township Police Department: On May 15, 2012 the and unknown male made fraudulent credit card transactions at the CVS store 929 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell and the Wawa, 1015 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell totaling over $900.  The victim lives in New Jersey and it is unclear how her information got out. Whitpain Township Police Make Drug Arrest of Norristown Woman

Police reports say woman, 36, was in possession of cocaine.

According to the Whitpain Township Police, on June 8 at 12:05 p.m., a green Lincoln was stopped by police along Dekalb Pike, at the entrance of Blue Bell Springs. The subject was allegedly pulled over for a vehicle violaton, according to police. During the stop, the investigating officers noticed the presence of cocaine, assorted scales, tools and packing supplies in the vehicle. Passenger Danielle Leach, 36, of the 1100 block of W. Airy St., Norristown, was arressted as a result for Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of Paraphernalia and Disorderly Conduct, according to the police report. Norristown Woman Arrested in Blue Bell for Prescription Fraud

Brandy Robinson, of Norristown, was arrested for attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription at CVS in Blue Bell.

According to police reports from the Whitpain Township Police Department, officers were called to the CVS Pharmacy at 929 Dekalb Pike, on Feb. 22 for a woman trying to fill a counterfeit prescription. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the pharmacist who called the police said the woman came in to the pharmacy around 11 p.m. and tried to fill a prescription for Percocet 5/325 pills for 120 pills in the name of Sheila Butler. The pharmacist who assisted the woman told her the prescription must be verified first, and the woman left the pharmacy without filling the prescription.
