Brad DeRosier runs Comic Archive, a vintage and used comic book store, out of Dresher Arcade on West Main Street. He showed us some choice items at his Lansdale store. A Magic: The Gathering tournament is happening there too.
His name was Mark Raxton and he debuted in "The Amazing Spider-Man" No. 28 in September 1965. Fans know him better as Molten Man. It was that appearance in that comic that has made that issue a rarity, according to Brad DeRosier, owner of Lansdale comic book shop Comic Archive, located in the front of Dresher Arcade fronting West Main Street. The store is about two minutes from the Lansdale train station. "That comic is $350," he said. "It’s the first appearance of Molten Man. I don’t know why it's so expensive. Molten Man was very popular, but he wasn’t in the series for very long. It's only copy I’ve ever seen and you don’t see if often, as it's from 1965." It doesn't stop there. It was 'Art in Motion' when the second-annual Lansdale Fun A Day art show brought in hundreds of people to see the talents of local artists from across Montgomery County.
The Lansdale Fun A Day art show is not your typical black-tie art gallery affair. In fact, it’s held in the upstairs ballroom of a local pub. “It’s better than going to an art museum,” Matt Rosenfeld, a Blue Bell resident, said. “This is less formal, more relaxed, and a different crowd of people.” While this was Rosenfeld’s first visit to the art show, of the hundreds of visitors that attended this year, many have made it a point to return. “I think these shows are great, because you get a lot of different artists from different perspectives,” Mike Omensetter, of Hatfield, said. “It’s not your traditional, mainstream, mass-produced art. It’s much more personal with these artists.” Omensetter said that he became passionate on attending …

what our state government doesn't realize is that there is MORE MONEY to be made by legalizing (even if only for medicinal purposes) and taxing it, than criminalizing it.
