UPDATE: [2/6/13; 2:48 p.m.] Fouth Street in Bridgeport is now reopened. --- Original story: Police, fire and EMS are dealing with a serious multi-vehicle accident at Fourth and Depot streets in Bridgeport that has caused the road to be closed while authorities clear the scene. According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety live incident feed, authorities responded to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. for the accident, which caused one vehicle involved to catch fire. A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles has closed a section of Swede Road at Meadowbrook Road in East Norriton. Both parties suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention. One of the vehicles, a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, had a 5-gallon jug of diesel fuel in its bed, which ruptured and spilled its contents on the road surface. Crews are working to clean up the fuel. Traffic is being turned away several hundred feet up the road in both directions as responders clean up the accident debris. We'll update this story as additional information becomes available.
