KOP Business Improvement District Gets $500,000 Grant for Commuter Shuttle

The grant from the DVRPC will help fund a commuter shuttle to connect King of Prussia to regional rail lines.

According to a release from the King of Prussia Business Improvement District (KOP-BID), the group was recently awarded a $500,000 three-year Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Grant by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). The grant will provide partial funding for a commuter transit shuttle service connecting the King of Prussia Business Park to SEPTA Regional Rail at the Norristown Transportation Center and the Wayne Station. KOP-BID partnered with Upper Merion Township to submit the application for the grant. KOP-BID will reportedly partner with King of Prussia commercial property owners to complete funding for the shuttle. A fare structure for shuttle tickets is still being determined.   The …
