Charges Held for Accused Towamencin Wawa Vandal

William Morris, 27, of Norristown, allegedly caused more than $5,000 in damage to the inside of the Wawa at Forty Foot and Welsh roads in Towamencin in October. He faces a felony criminal mischief charge

Felony criminal mischief with intent to damage property was held over for Montgomery County court Tuesday against William James Morris, 27, of Norristown, accused of causing more than $5,000 in damage to the interior of a Wawa in Towamencin in October 2012. Other misdemeanor and summary charges were held at the Lansdale preliminary hearing in connection with the incident at the Wawa at Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike on Oct. 26: Four counts of misdemeanor terroristic threats, a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, according to court records. Norristown Man Allegedly Causes $5,000 in Damage at Wawa

William James Morris, 27, of Fornance Street, allegedly flipped out inside the Wawa at Forty Foot and Welsh roads in Towamencin, causing $5,000 in damage

A Norristown man was arrested and charged by Towamencin Township Police Oct. 26 after allegedly causing a disturbance at Wawa at 1401 Forty Foot Road. William James Morris, 27, of the 300 block of Fornance Street, is charged with criminal mischief, terroristic threats, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana, police said. Wawa employees told police that Morris allegedly began acting in an erratic manner inside the store and attempted to go behind the deli counter, police said. When confronted by the manager, Morris allegedly began yelling profanity, jumping up and down and flailing his arms in the air, police said.
