One Dead in Ridge Pike Crash in Plymouth
A dump truck driver was killed when his truck tipped over and slid into electrical pole.
A man was killed Friday morning when the dump truck he was driving collided with a utility pole on Ridge Pike in Plymouth Township shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. Sergeant John Jackson of the Plymouth Township Police department said a preliminary investigation indicated that the driver, whose name has not yet been released, ran a red light while traveling westbound at Alan Wood Road. "We're not one hundred percent sure, but we think he ran the red-light and for whatever reason slammed on his brakes and started to turn," Jackson said.
