Police Arrest Naked Man Tuesday Night

The man was reportedly running through the streets, attempting to gain access to a vehicle.

Patch readers reported some unusual police activity in the 200 block of West Spruce Street Tuesday night. A Norristown Patch Facebook user noted that neighbors were reporting a "crazy naked guy running through the streets" in the area. As it turns out, that unusual report was not unfounded. According to a report from the Norristown Police Department, officers responded to the area at approximately 10:53 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, for a report of a naked man allegedly trying to gain entry to vehicles in the neighborhood. On arrival, police encountered the naked black male and ordered the man to the ground. As officers were handcuffing the man to take him into custody, they reportedly smelled an odor of PCP. Atlantic City Man Leads Police on Wild Chase in Norristown

Twenty nine-year old Jayson Williams sideswiped five other cars, rammed a police cruiser, crashed into a wall, jumped out of his vehicle and ran smack into a waiting police patrol car.

According to reports from the Norristown Police Department, shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, police were alerted to a blue Honda Civic with New Jersey plates driving recklessly into Norristown on Main Street. Officers reportedly caught site of the car, later determined to be driven by Jayson Williams, 29, of Atlantic City, travelling west on the 600 block of West Main and began following him. They observed the Honda swerving back and forth across the yellow lines and watched as it sideswiped several parked cars in the 1000 block. The pursuing officer activated his emergency lights and siren, but Williams refused to yield. Two Men in Custody After Police Respond to Early Morning Shooting

Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the area of Arch and Basin streets have two suspects in custody.

According to reports provided by the Norristown Police Department, officers responded to Arch and Basin streets last night shortly before 2:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired in the vicinity. Callers reported to police that vehicles apparently involved in a chase had sped through the area of Arch and Freedly streets. Once on the scene, officers found a blue minivan abandoned on the lawn of a home on the southwest corner of Arch and Freedly streets. According to reports, a witness flagged down officers and described seeing a man wearing a white T-shirt running through Hayden Alley behind the 200 block of Nassau Place involved in a "running gun battle."
