Norristown Prepares for Bigger, Better National Night Out

From the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League:

The Norristown National Night Committee is participating with the entire nation, asking all the Borough Residents to come out and participate in the great event with the Norristown Community. The Committee recognizes the importance of involvement and participation with all connected with the community. This is a total commitment from not only the sponsors, but also all that are committed and participating in the betterment of the Norristown Community.

The Annual Night out Committee is making sure that there will be plenty of good food, activities, snacks, giveaways, music and entertainment. This is an open “invitation” for all of Norristown Borough. Entertainment will include a live D.J. and Norristown-based Drill Team. Food will be provided by numerous retail stores including ShopRite and Chick-fil-a.

This year’s event is hosted by the following organizations: Mt. Zion A. M.E. Church, Siloam Baptist Church, DeKalb Day School HOSTED BY MT. ZION A.M.E. CHURCH, SILOAM BAPTIST CHURCH, DeKALB DAY SCHOOL, T.R.U.S.T., NORRISTOWN TOWN WATCH: EAST, NORTH AND WEST; SEPTA; HOSTED BY MT. ZION A.M.E. CHURCH, SILOAM BAPTIST CHURCH, DeKALB DAY SCHOOL, T.R.U.S.T., NORRISTOWN TOWN WATCH: EAST, NORTH AND WEST; SEPTA; HOSTED BY MT. ZION A.M.E. CHURCH, SILOAM BAPTIST CHURCH, DeKALB DAY SCHOOL, T.R.U.S.T., NORRISTOWN TOWN WATCH: EAST, NORTH AND WEST; SEPTA;, T.RU.S.T., Norristown Watch (East, North, West) and SEPTA.

Participating this year are: MEN OF EXCELLENCE, GNPAL, CTC-NORRISTOWN PREVENTION INITIATIVE, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; PA LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD (LCB).Men of Excellence, GNPAL, CTC-Norristown Prevention Initiative, The Fire Dept., PA Liquor Control Board (LCB), Nuesva Norristown New Life Mennonite Church, elected officials and staff from the Local, County and State Levels and State Judges.

This is an opportunity for networking with youth, resident, elected officials, county and borough departments, as well as nonprofit and community organizations. Come out and meet some new people that may just live around the corner from your house. This will be a chance to ask officials about your community interests.
