Partial Building Collapse on E. Penn Street [UPDATE]

A three-story end unit row home is leaning; the front wall is expected to be torn down.

Police and fire personnel are on the scene of a reported building collapse at 333 E. Penn Street in Norristown, which was reported around 1:45 p.m.

The three-story end unit row home is showing signs of cracking around the windows. There is a noticeable lean to the structure, towards a vacant commercial building next door.

The homes in the building - 333 through 339 E. Penn Street -  have been evacuated and no injuries have been reported.

An engineer is currently assessing the structural integrity of the building and if it can be saved; the front wall of the unit is expected to be torn down.
